Subarkah uses his experience representing clients in complex transnational litigation and arbitrations to provide practical solutions with the client’s best interests in mind.

Subarkah Syafruddin is a senior associate with Alston & Bird’s International Arbitration & Dispute Resolution Team. He has experience litigating both national and international matters.

Subarkah has advised clients on various international arbitration and transnational litigation matters, including anti-suit and anti-arbitration injunctions and enforcement of arbitral awards against foreign sovereign states. He previously served as a law clerk for H.E. Judge Joan E. Donoghue, International Court of Justice of The Hague, Netherlands.

While earning his J.D. with honors, Subarkah served as articles editor for the Columbia Journal of Transnational Law and received the Edwin Parker Prize (awarded to the top graduating student in international or comparative law). He also served as a Lloyd N. Cutler Fellow and an AM Law 100 firm’s International Law Fellow.
